FWX Rods which is a member of the Rod Builders Guild was invited to do a seminar on carbon fiber rod components. FWX President, Chad LeGros did a demonstration on carbon fiber grips and covered the carbon fiber process used in rod building to a great gathering of building enthusiast. We Thank FTU and their staff as well as the guild for the invite and hosting such a great event. Several other rod builders attended the event as well as the vendors who make the products we use to do the builds. If you missed the event, you missed a great learning opportunity as well as a chance to meet some great folks.
FWX Rods wants to thank Bill Batson for his continued generosity and support. Bill will go the mile to assist you with any of your rod building needs. He also loves his troops. Bill and his companies has partnered with FWX by providing all the components to complete the builds that FWX is donating to the Patriots Challenge Tournament. Please reach out and send Bill and team a thanks if you get time. He is great people and a supporter to the craft, and also a huge supporter to our troops.

Please congratulate and welcome the newest members of the team! Prez FWX Rods FWX Rods are always looking at ways to offer a quality product at a reasonable price. We have designed a signature rod that is basically a no frills basic rod in all black. Don't let the word "basic" fool you. The rods we chose are the most popular in the customs we build. Each one of these goes through our normal build process we use on full customs. The rods are built as a standard from what worked while using the design for customs. This includes deflection, guide geometry, component selection, etc... This is a line of rods that is below $300 not including Texas sales tax. We will refine our selection as we go and are in the process of stocking these as ready to go items that can be ordered from our site or from FWX local. These rods are high end quality. We can add options on these at additional cost.
If you are interested, feel free to reach out to me. FWX Rods Thanks to John and Jennifer Damon along with Billy Wells and Ray Villarreal who put on the tournament. The winner was Fernando Salamanca with a winning bag weight of 13.1 lbs. Congrats Fernando for the overall win and a new FWX Rod. The crew seemed like they had a blast and we are excited we could support the tournament.
